Rebrand — Fineshade Studios

There’s magic in expression, regardless of its form — communication, painting, writing. Yet, there’s a particular artistry in capturing the ephemeral moments shared on a wedding day — a whirlwind of emotion and energy. It’s an indelible art, immortalising those precious moments into heirlooms and a legacy of love, as Danielle beautifully describes it.

This rebrand not only reflects Danielle & Martin’s journey since founding Fineshade Films in 2016 but embodies their vision and artistry. Elevating their expression & absorbing their unique style and essence.

During our brand strategy workshop, we delved into their story, painted the picture of their audience, and artistic distinction, which culminated after some development into the tagline: “Curators of visual poetry,” perfectly encapsulating their essence. This guided the visual direction, bringing the rebrand to life.

Danielle envisioned a contemporary art gallery merged with the tactility of a photo album, manifesting artful, playful, and elegant aesthetics. Classic serif typography meets contemporary asymmetry, soft textures, an off-white palette, reminiscent of poetry books, and embossing reflecting the emotional legacies they capture.

It was important the brand identity reflected their brand values of Connection, Individuality & Artistry – mirroring the authenticity shared between D&M and their clients, reflecting and capturing emotion as it unfolds in time without disruption.

Minimalism underpins the identity, never detracting from their photography or film but complementing and accenting it – letting the art speak for itself.

This has been a collaborative and rich journey full of music exchanges (in fact this track was one of the first tracks we bonded over), shared love of dogs and friendship. It’s been a total honour to craft your new brand with you, Danielle & Martin, and share in your life and your artistry. I cannot wait to see what else is to unfold for you both!!
